We had our last breakfast for the year 2007 on Dec. 15.  We had a full table, including three newcomers who attended.  We've had a regular turnout the past few months and it's good to see the group grow.  Assuming this group will continue to grow as it has in the past, there may be a need to move to a different location that can accomodate us more easily.  Another idea that was suggested is including a mini swap meet during or after the breakfast.  We'd basically bring ham gear and related stuff to trade or sell among ourselves.  If you have ideas about the breakfast, including ideas for a possible new location and other things we can do to expand it, please fill out the feedback form and let us know.

The next breakfast, the first one for the new year, is scheduled for Jan. 19, 2008 at 9:00AM.  At this time, the location is TBD (to be determined), but tentatively will still be
Holder's Country Inn, 5512 Monterey Hwy, San Jose, CA 95138.

Some of us that frequent 146.520 FM simplex have become members of a  2M SSB net called the "25-25 Net".  They hold the net on Wednesday nights at 8PM on 144.230 USB.   If you have an all-mode 2M radio, you should join the net and become a member.  Membership is free, and there are no obligations, other than providing your callsign, location, power level, and whether or not your antenna is vertically or horizontally polorized,.  The intent is to promote "Ragchew on 2M SSB".
Check out their website at http://www.25-25.net

I'll probably make more mention this on the website in the future, but for some time there has been an Echolink link station that I run on 146.520 FM simplex.  The station covers the general south San Jose area and some of the bordering cities..  If you use Echolink and would  like to connect, the node is "N6UMQ-L" and the node number is 252974.
